Our Quest - Why we went to Haiti? In September 2009 a brand new alternative high school program emerged - it's name, Quest for Community. It was an exciting new adventure for this group of teenagers that grew up in a tiny community in rural British Columbia. The group was built around social justice and volunteer work, which we integrated into our school studies often prioritizing aid over academics. During the semester we accomplished multiple projects throughout the province. Our final Quest was in Haiti to assist with the construction of a goat farm wall and get a glimpse of what life is like in a Haitian community.
